I have had the pleasure to talk with them in person for the many shows that have aired on PBS (KCTS Seattle). They have been very good with e-mails and updates. How special to hear from Celtic Woman here on Valentines Day too! They are just a few days away from beginning a 90 City (U.S. and Canada) tour. This will bring them to Seattle this June of 2013.
Celtic Woman is kicking off their 2013 North American Tour on Thursday, February 21st in Worcester MA. This year’s tour will entertain fans once again and will feature soloists Chloë, Máiréad, Susan (newest member) and Lisa Lambe and of course the fantastic Celtic Woman band and choir.
Don’t miss Celtic Woman’s dazzling performances, combining the sounds and sensibility of Irish traditional music with memorable original compositions and contemporary pop standards. This year’s tour boasts an exciting new production and the return of such enduring fan favorites as "You Raise Me Up" and "Orinoco Flow." Original member Lisa Kelly has decided to spend more time with family and also has begun a new Voice compnay. I also just learned that Chloë was named Best Female Vocalist (individual/trad.) and Máiréad was named Top Fiddle/Violin (US, IRE, EU, UK). These ladies are very fun and very "what you see is what they are".
