This morning I was one of the first to share how the Critics were tearing into the LIVE, Sound Of Music, that millions watched on NBC last night. As many critics said the acting was on a down side, what a performance for anyone to undertake. No retakes, no second chance and no LIVE audience right there with you to reward you with applause or laughter for a song or line well performed. It was just a shuffle of 7 Studios and Live TV cameras hooked up to televisoins Nationwide. To try and keep up with Carrie and the cast for 3 Hours. It was great to find a Northwest connection tho the show. She is Sophia Caruso (age 12) of Spokane, WA Many remember her from the recent 5th Ave Theater production of Secondhand Lions. Sophia was "Brigitta Von Trapp" in this NBC production. In the picture she is the second girl from the left. I'm still going to try and talk with her next week about this whole experience. By the way Mom and Dad, this is the time of year that most High Schools in the area are planning Spring Musicals. I have always treasured my experience when I did it.... as King Arthur in "Camelot" when it was our High School Musical at Queen Anne High. Later in years I would meet up with movie/television /broadway actor, Michael York. We had fun exchanging LINES when he was here in town with CAMELOT one year. firstname.lastname@example.org
Brigitta Von Trapp was one of us! LIVE Sound Of Music includes Washingtonian.
