Kelly Clarkson’s seventh studio album is here — and she’s coming to Seattle

The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, just released Piece By Piece, a dance-y, 80s-inspired collection of songs that’s her first album of original songs since 2011. (Her last full-length release was Wrapped In Red, her 2013 Christmas album.)

Here’s the video for the first single off the album, “Heartbeat Song:”

Check out this interview in which she talks about how U2 inspires the style of her songs and why Annie Lennox is her role model. And this one where she goes into some details about crating the new album and talks about being a new mother as she prepares for her tour.

Speaking of that tour: Plan on catching Kelly live at Key Arena on August 12 with supporting acts Pentatonix and Eric Hutchinson. The tickets go on sale this Saturday, March 14 at, but — news flash! — you can win ’em before you can buy ’em all this week at the beginning and end of your workday — 7:00am and 7:00pm on Warm 106.9!
