Jeff Bridges wants to put you to sleep

Nobody’s sure at this point if this is a joke, or a real thing, but you have to love Jeff Bridges, a.k.a. The Dude, for trying something a little different. When you’re watching the Super Bowl on Sunday, you’re going to see a commercial for Squarespace, the company that helps you create your own website. (Kind of like GoDaddy.) The spot is for a new website called, which offers you an album of sounds/noises/songs/spoken words courtesy of Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges, all designed to help you get a better night’s sleep. You can listen to the album and actually buy it at You pay whatever you feel like, and all the money goes to No Kid Hungry, a non-profit that feeds hungry kids.

It doesn’t matter if it’s real, or just a goof, or a well-disguised commercial; if Jeff Bridges is doing it, it’s pretty cool, if a little unusual. Check out the site, click the giant pretend old-school cassette player to listen, and enjoy those sweet, strange dreams.
