Iconic 9/11 Flag Found in Everett

Of all the photographs that documented the horror of September 11th, one of the most enduring is the image of three firefighters raising an American flag in the rubble of the World Trade Center.

It had been long missing, until now.

According to the story on KING5.com:  That flag disappeared just a few hours after the famous photo was taken. Now, though, it has been found — In Everett.

Thanks in part to a local Marine Corps Veteran.  Full story (HERE).

It will be returning home to the September 11th Memorial and Museum with an unveiling tomorrow. (Friday)
