How cool is this? U2 plays live in the NYC subway

If you’re a New Yorker, you’re used to seeing pretty much anything and everything on the subway. But last week, Big Apple commuters got a big surprise if they were getting off the train at the 42nd Street platform: U2 played live, just like starving musicians all over the city.

The stunt for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon started with the band (and Fallon) in disguise, which didn’t seem to get much of a reaction from the jaded New York nine-to-fivers who passed by. But when Bono & Co. took off their fake facial hair and revealed their true identities, people were a lot more interested.
