Help the 12′s “Build the Tip”

Help the 12′s “Build the Tip”

Two diehard Seahawks fans want to forever remember Richard Sherman’s tip to Malcolm Smith that gave them the win in the NFC Championship game over the 49er’s — and sent the Seahawks to the Superbowl.

The two Microsoft guys are hoping to raise $250,000 to build a bronze statue of the entire play, now known to all 12′s as simply “The Tip.” The statue will feature Richard Sherman, of course, and even SF receiver Michael Crabtree (to miss the catch). But what’s even cooler – fans will have a space next to statue where they can stand and “be” Malcolm Smith, waiting for the tipped pass. Get your cameras out!

The fundraising campaign for the statue starts on July 28th and will run through September 5th. Donations of at least $12 will get you small prizes…and get all of us 12′s something to symbolize the Seahawks winning 2013 season forever.

All the info about the campaign can be found right here.
