Great Scott! DeLorean coming ‘Back to the Future’

It’s been more than 30 years since Marty McFly went back in time, met his parents and came back in the car that Doc Brown built into a time machine – a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12. And now, DeLorean Motor Company announced that it’s bringing the “Back to the Future” car back!

DeLorean plans to make about 300 replicas of the 1982 model. That should help the company’s bottom line – they’ve stayed in business by refurbishing the old ones, of which there are only 9,000.

Refurbished DeLoreans cost $45,000 to $55,000.  The replicas will cost about $100,000 when they go on sale in early 2017.

Yes, Marty, he did.
