Great cause – help local kids get to Disneyland! (links)

Teachers at the Life Skills and Transition Learning Center Programs (TLC) at Mount Si high school have a dream – to bring 15 developmentally disabled kids on the trip of a lifetime – to Disneyland!

They’ve been fundraising for this once-in-a-lifetime trip since last summer and now, YOU can help! They’re having a big fundraisier this month – their¬† “Dream Trip Auction and Dinner” on Saturday, January 17, at 5pm at the SnoValley Eagles Club in Snoqualmie. Tickets are $25.

If you can’t make it, you can always send a donation check for the “TLC Auction” to Mount Si High School.

So far, they’ve raised about $10,000 dollars, but they’re hoping to raise $50,000.

Sue Romero has been doing news and traffic on the radio in Seattle since 1994. She is originally from southeast Alaska and moved to Seattle to go to the University of Washington. After graduating, she started her radio career in Houston, Texas, but moved back to Seattle because she missed the trees, hills, water and beauty of the Pacific Northwest. While she was in Texas, Sue danced on the NBA Houston Rockets Dance Team and still regularly takes dance in Seattle. She even attended a Seattle Sea Gals workshop, just for fun!
