GiveBIG today!

So what is GiveBIG and why should you participate? The Seattle Foundation, which promotes the event, says:

“GiveBIG is a one-day, online charitable giving event, inspiring people to give generously to the nonprofit organizations that make our region a healthier and more vital place to live.”

In other words, you can give to your favorite charity or choose from 1600 other nonprofits that could use your help! For instance, some of the nonprofits I truly appreciate are: the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation because my daughter Sweet Pea and I love going to our local library in Edmonds; and the Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County, where Sweet Pea has made a lot friends.

So, it’s really up to you, where your help will go. And if you donate through The Seattle Foundation’s website they’ll match part of your donation, based on the total amount of donations they get today!

The important thing is to GiveBIG!

Happy giving!

About Sue Romero

Sue Romero has been doing news and traffic on the radio in Seattle since 1994. She is originally from southeast Alaska and moved to Seattle to go to the University of Washington. After graduating, she started her radio career in Houston, Texas, but moved back to Seattle because she missed the trees, hills, water and beauty of the Pacific Northwest. While she was in Texas, Sue danced on the NBA Houston Rockets Dance Team and still regularly takes dance in Seattle. She even attended a Seattle Sea Gals workshop, just for fun! Sue loves movies -- especially sci-fi!
