GHOSTBUSTERS Theme Song Gets 30th Anniversary Marshmallow-Scented Vinyl Reissue

What, what?!?!?  Ok, can’t decide if this is really cool or, just makes me crave a s’more!  Either way, can you believe it’s been 30 years, and there’s talk of a new film feature an all-female cast.  Check out the story…

To commemorate the film’s 30th anniversary, Ray Parker, Jr.’s classic Ghostbusters theme was reissued for April’s Record Store Day on glow-in-the-dark vinyl. On October 21st, Parker’s single will once again be re-released, this time on 12-inch white vinyl featuring a very special gatefold: Inspired by the film’s much-beloved villain, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, the whole thing smells of sweet, sweet marshmallows.

Each of the 3,000 copies is rounded out with a numbered certificate of authenticity and a six-inch Stay Puft figurine.

Pre-orders for Ghostbusters: Stay Puft Edition Super Deluxe vinyl are ongoing.

It’s not the only sickeningly sweet news for the franchise as of late. Last week, writer/director Paul Feig (Freaks and Geeks, Bridesmaids) announced a forthcoming reboot featuring an all-female cast.

And for fun…
