FedEx Flew A Family To Chicago So Their Baby Could Get A Liver Transplant.

Jesse and Nick Faris from Memphis, TN have been waiting a year for a liver transplant for their two-year-old daughter. They finally got a call last Wednesday about a donor in Chicago. The problem was, they had to be there by early Thursday morning for the surgery. THAT’S when FedEx stepped in.

This little girl’s name is Brooklyn, and she has a genetic condition called Alagille syndrome.  Back in 2014, they were told there was a 50% chance she’d only survive six months.

So one of their friends got in touch with FedEx, which is based in Memphis.  Then they got a call telling them to be at the airport in a half-hour.  And when they got there, FedEx had two pilots and a corporate JET waiting for them.

They ended up landing in Chicago Wednesday night, the surgery happened Thursday morning, and Brooklyn’s doctors expect her to make a full recovery. WELL DONE FedEx!!
