Garden Wars is back!

Allan & Ashley vs. AJ will battle it out for local charities from 1pm to 3:00pm in the North Hall on Sunday, the 26th.

Cheer on your favorite Warm 106.9 personalities as they battle it out in “Garden Wars, Season 3” at the 2017 Northwest Flower & Garden Show, benefitting local charities.

Inspired by popular reality-based competitions including “Junk Wars” and “Iron Chef,” the fast-paced event takes place from 1pm to 3pm each day of the show at Garden Wars Arena in the North Hall.

Master of Ceremonies Joe Lamp’l, executive producer and host of the a ward-winning PBS TV series, “Growing a Greener World”®, will guide, challenge and cajole the Team Leaders and their two-member teams. Working with identical plant and hardscape materials, they will create 10’x10’ gardens—from scratch! The teams will plan a design, grab their plants and start digging, trying to beat the clock and finish before the buzzer.

At the conclusion of each day’s action, independent judges will select the “winner.” Local charities come out on top in “Garden Wars”: the show will make a $1,000 donation each day to the winning Team Leader’s designated charity, and $500 to the runner-up Team Leader’s favorite non-profit organization.

Both the winners and runners-up will be awarded money for charity. The contestants will be playing to benefit the following charities:

The Boys and Girls Club’s of King County

American Cancer Society
