Taste of Tacoma

Warm 106.9 is proud to be a sponsor at Taste of Tacoma. June 23 & 24 from 11am-9pm and June 25 from 11am-8pm at Point Defiance Park. All of the delicious restaurants will offer a “Just a Bite” for $3.75 or less and no restaurant item or plate will be over $100 — and the best part is that admission is free!

Emerald Queen Casino’s Taste of Tacoma is celebrating its 32nd year and continues to be not only Tacoma’s largest, most affordable summer festival, but also Tacoma’s “Ultimate Summer Kick Off!”

The Taste features over 40 restaurants and specialty food products booth, the all-new South Sound Bites restaurant showcase, over 50 handcrafted and commercial vendors, The Taste Cooks! (a live cooking demo area featuring local area chefs), as well as live music and entertainment on four stages.

We are sponsoring South Sound Bites, which will showcase local restaurants and feature a unique 5-course entree/plate meal offered to patrons for one price. Patrons who visit South Sound Bites pay $16 to receive a plate featuring four different small entree sized menu items, one item presented from each of the participating restaurants featured daily. South Sound Bites will host four of Tacoma’s top restaurants each day between 11am-7pm at the Taste of Tacoma.

South Sound Bites will be providing opportunities for local restaurants/chefs feature their dishes while also collecting donations for the Emergency Food Network.

Some new additions & must see features include The Wine Bar, which will feature local Washington wines by the glass or flight. Located near the Rose Garden Stage, The Wine Bar and local Craft Beer tasting will feature singer-songwriters and jazz/blues artists. Sip on cool brews and local spirits at the beer gardens, bring the kids and enjoy the Family Entertainment stage, carnival rides & more!

Also featured is “The Taste Cooks!”: a live cooking demonstration stage that gives Tacoma-chefs the chance to participate in a fun and interactive event and also connect with the public, if the option of the full-time commitment of a booth at the festival isn’t possible.
