Internationally renowned speaker Gil Penalosa will visit Snohomish County later this month to speak about building sustainable communities. Penalosa, director of the Canadian non-profit group 8-80 Cities, will serve as keynote at a FREE public event on Thursday, September 25 from 6:30 pm – 8pm at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Penalosa will share insights on how to create a community that is safe and accessible for 8 year-olds and 80 year-olds with abundant opportunities for walking, biking and use of transit.
The program, “What Does a Vibrant City of the Future Look Like?” is presented by Community Transit and the Puget Sound Regional Council.
