Even if you’re not a Mariners fan, you have to check out their new commercials

It’s become a ritual every spring — sure, the beginning of baseball season, but also the big reveal of the season’s new Mariners TV commercials. Today the team unveiled four new spots, plus a great blooper reel.

As always, the spots highlight the larger-than-life but lovable personalities of the players, or, in one case, ex-players: One of the commercials features the man with the “light bat,” Edgar Martinez, now a hitting coach for the club.

The commercials are the work of a brilliant Seattle advertising agency called Copacino + Fujikado, who’ve been handling the Mariners for years. In fact, they posted a recap of 20 years of M’s spots which will definitely take you back.
