Twitter

It has happened twice so far this month, and with the Olympics starting tomorrow, it made quite a few folks nervous when Twitter was down for approximately 40 minutes today. Twitter announced in March that it has more than 140 million active users and that the service sees some 340 million Tweets a day. Anxious Twitter addicts (or Refugees as they call themselves) quickly started sharing #WhileTwitterWasDown tweets when service was regained. Productivity probably went way up during that 40 minutes too! :)
