Her interview in the March Vogue is very charming yet peppered with f-bombs. Ahh, the dichotic Adele. You can't help but adore her, quite literally, but more on that in a moment.
The release of the interview in Vogue yesterday sent fans into a frenzy with her comment that she would would be taking 4-5 years off. She now says she was just joking and will be heading into the studio in a few weeks. Ha Ha.
Now as to why we get chills while listening to one of her songs, it has to do with science. The ballad "Someone Like You" contains an "appoggiatura," which is "a type of ornamental note that clashes with the melody just enough to create a dissonant sound," the Wall Street Journal describes.
According to Dan Wilson, Adele's co-writer for that song, it was not intentional, and he did not know about it until he read the article.
Don't you think that now they know, they will be working to include that in her next album? I think so.
