Like you might hold a small animal after it's passing. I was holding it for about 10 minutes before I realized what I was doing.
Late last night my laptop bit the dust. With important information on it that I need, and did not back up. I know, rookie mistake.
It was my first laptop, it was small and cute. It was also used and well-loved, shall we say?
Now I have to find another one, and I just don't know how I feel about that. I want my baby back!
Anyone else have unusual attachment to their electronic devices? And maybe a recommendation on a good laptop?

alan - Aw, we do get attached to our gadgets, don't we? I just got my 16 year old stereo amplifier serviced and dusted off, ready for the next 16 years. I don't want to replace it! As for a new laptop, IMO you can't go wrong with a Toshiba. I have bought 3 of these over the past few years; 2 went off to university with my kids, the last one I have kept for myself. (Finally!)
