Mother's Day Writing Contest

Olympus Spa will hold an essay writing contest this year for Mother’s Day starting from March 1 to April 20, 2013 (7 weeks).

This essay contest is only open to all daughters of ages 13 and up. The topic of the essay is “Why My Mother and I Deserve a Spa Day at Olympus Spa.”

The Lynnwood location will select 20 winners and the Tacoma location will select 10 winners. Each winner will receive 2 day passes! Among the winners, 1 best essay will be selected from each location and each daughter and mother will also receive $300 Gift Certicate!

What is an Essay?

There are many definitions of “essay”, but for our purposes here it refers to a short, literary focused subject of why you think you and your mother deserve a spa day on us.

How to submit your essay:

• Read the following rules and regulations.
• Include your name, phone number, e-mail and home address along with your essay.
• All entries will be accepted by postal mail only or you may drop it off in person.

Essay writing contest Guidelines, Rules and Regulations:

1. Entries will not be accepted after the posted deadline above.
2. To be eligible, entries must be a minimum of 300 words and double spaced; no longer than a page.
3. All prizes may not be returned or exchanged nor redeemed as cash.
4. Prizes must be redeemed at desired location, only valid through June 29th 2013.
5. Entries must be hand written and clearly legible.
6. All entries must be hand written in English.
7. Each entrant may only submit one essay at either the Lynnwood or Tacoma location. Please submit to your desired location; no later than April 20, 2013. You may drop off the essay physically or mail it to the addresses below.
8. Entries must include the Mother and Daughter’s name, address, e-mail and phone number.
9. All entries are final. No revisions will be accepted.
10. The decisions of the judges are entirely their own, and are final.
11. At the discretion of the judges, all well written essays may be publicly visible.
12. Winners will be individually notified of the results by phone. (April 29th)
13. Please note that Olympus Spa will be closed on Sunday May 12th 2013.
