Can you pass a basic Civics Test?

Lawmakers in Idaho are looking at requiring all students to pass a basic civics test to graduate high school. Sure, it’s in Idaho, but this has lessons for all of us, in all 50 states.

One Senator there says the new focus on science, technology and math in schools means that students learn less about government and current affairs.

Could you pass the test? Let’s see!

Take a sample of 10 test questions here.

Students in Idaho would need to get 70 out of the 100 questions right, to pass. In Arizona, currently the only state requiring a civics test to graduate high school, they only have to get 60% right. How many do you think should be a passing grade?

Questions come from the same test that all immigrants take to become U-S citizens.

Good luck!
