Can Seattle design the Ultimate Urban Utility Bike? (Vote)

The Bike Design Project by non-profit Oregon Manifest looks to make the concept of the ‘next -wave urban bike’ a reality.

Five teams from five bike-loving cities – Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Chicago and New York – must develop the best urban bike for the everyday rider. Some of the criteria: aesthetics (of course – does it look cool?), storage (where will you put your groceries? Or your coffee?) and fender design (will it keep you clean riding in the Seattle rain?).

The bike designed by the team from Seattle –  TEAGUE and Sizemore Bicycles – is called “The Denny,” pictured above. Who wouldn’t want to ride that?

Vote for “The Denny” right here! You can vote until 12pm, August 3rd.

About Sue Romero

Sue Romero has been doing news and traffic on the radio in Seattle since 1994. She is originally from southeast Alaska and moved to Seattle to go to the University of Washington. After graduating, she started her radio career in Houston, Texas, but moved back to Seattle because she missed the trees, hills, water and beauty of the Pacific Northwest. While she was in Texas, Sue danced on the NBA Houston Rockets Dance Team and still regularly takes dance in Seattle. She even attended a Seattle Sea Gals workshop, just for fun! Sue loves movies -- especially sci-fi!
