ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT
Usually, a movie that produces a couple of sequels is considered pretty successful. The Ice Age series has done that, and now, here they come with the fourth--Ice Age: Continental Drift.
This time, an acorn obsession by Scrat, causes Manny (Ray Romano's voice), Diego (Denis Leary), and Sid (John Leguizamo) to hit the high seas for another adventure. They run into a ship full of pirates, led by Captain Gutt (voiced by Peter Dinklage from "Game of Thrones"). Peter Dinklage steals the show as Gutt, something he is used to doing, based on what he does on the HBO hit series. There are some really funny moments with the pirates. There's also an unexpected reunion for the characters.
Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, and Josh Peck are all back in their roles. And Jennifer Lopez as well as Jeremy Renner round out the rest of the voices in the cast.
Ice Age: Continental Drift is getting mixed reviews by critics. But the best critics for a movie like this are kids. Chances are pretty high that your child would love to see this movie. I'm predicted a big opening, despite the lukewarm reviews. Enjoy!
