School and neighborhood ranking site Niche recently released its ranking of Washington’s best high schools of 2016, culling from state and SAT test scores, student and parent surveys and graduation rates, among several other factors. Eastside Schools top the list, with Garfield and Roosevelt in Seattle ranking top 10. The top 100 schools (HERE).
The greatest weight was given to academics, which makes up half of each school’s grade. The academic score given to each school is influenced by statistics and surveys completed by students, alumni and parents.
Scores were also awarded for: health and safety; parent and student surveys; student culture and diversity; teachers; resources and facilities; extracurriculars and activities; resources and facilities; and sports and fitness.
