It was pretty much the worst kept secret in the world, Russell Wilson and Ciara got married at Peckforton Castle in Liverpool, England yesterday.

Pretty much everyone knew the couple was getting married once tabloids posted photos of them attending their rehearsal dinner on Tuesday night.  Then it was just a matter of waiting for the confirmation, which came when they both posted to Instagram late yesterday morning saying “We are the Wilson’s” alongside a photo of the gorgeous couple.

Ciara wore a custom-made Cavalli Couture gown composed of white silk tulle, fully embroidered with floral motifs throughout, and delicate glass beading – covered entirely with Chantilly lace appliqué. Meanwhile, Wilson wore a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure black six-button peak lapel set of evening tails; Ciara’s eight bridesmaids all wore custom, individually-designed Michael Costello gowns in black stretch satin.

Lala Anthony, Kelly Rowland and Russ’ sister Anna, were among the bridesmaids.Jennifer Hudson was among the 100 guests.

Doug Baldwin tweeted about the happy couple, but it was using the same picture that they shared, so I don’t actually know if he was there.

So far, we haven’t confirmed that any of Russell’s teammates were there.

Friend of the couple, and former Snohomish resident, Chrissy Teigen didn’t attend the wedding, but did speak out about the happy couple’s nuptials, saying, “I think they’ve got it down. Together, they’re going to be the ultimate team now.”
