LOS ANGELES - NOV 21: Katy Perry at the 2010 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California on November 21, 2010

Ashley’s Morning Scoop 5.3.16

Last night was the annual Met Gala, basically the red carpet event of the year.  Anyone who is anyone showed up rocking a lot of metallic to coincide with the theme of Fashion in an Age of Technology.  And then there were the Olsen twins, who continued their trend of wearing their Grandmother’s caftans…..and Madonna who basically wore a super expensive thong…..Claire Danes wore a light up dress…..

With all the rumors surrounding who Beyonce might be referring to as “Becky with the good hair,” one celeb decided she’d better make sure there was no confusion about her potential as “Becky.”  Katy Perry sported a “Not Becky” pin at one of the Met

Kate Upton showed off more than her supermodel self on the Met Gala red carpet last night, sporting a HUGE rock on her left ring finger.  Upton’s baseball star beau, Justin Verlander popped the question before the season started, about a month ago and the two have kept quiet about their engagement until now.

Dancing with the Stars shocked the audience and contestants last night with a double elimination, sending home Kim Fields and Von Miller!  Good Morning America’s Ginger Zee and UFC’s Paige VanZant earned perfect 10’s, giving them the first 30s of the season.  And, there was ANOTHER scoring issue, as judge Bruno Tonioli wrote down a 9, but held up a 10 for Nyle DiMarco……

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the Broadway sensation Hamilton.  If you haven’t before, well, you have now, as the show just broke Tony Award records with 16 nominations.  James Cordon will host the June 12th show.
