Ashley’s Morning Scoop 2.3.16

Lady Gaga will perform a tribute to the late David Bowie at this month’s Grammy’s. A massive Bowie fan; Gaga had been slated to perform prior to Bowie’s passing, but show producers decided she should be the one to honor the late legend. Bowie will also receive a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lady Gaga seems to be in pretty high demand, as she is slated to perform the National Anthem this Sunday at Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara when the Broncos play the Panthers.

Last night was the premiere of the highly anticipated (at least in my circle of friends) FX miniseries American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson and it was everything I had hoped for. Cuba Gooding Jr plays OJ and John Travolta plays one of his lawyers, Robert Shapiro, who is super creepy by the way……. David Schwimmer (aka Ross Gellar), played OJ’s best friend/lawyer, Robert Kardashian. It was soooo good!

Carpool karaoke took their commuting to a new level last night when James Cordon picked up Coldplay’s Chris Martin for a roadtrip from LA to San Francisco so Chris could get to the Super Bowl. The two belted out Coldplay hits along the route. As usual, it was hilarious and surprisingly in tune. Kudos for the high notes!

So, by now you’ve probably heard all about Making A Murderer, the Netflix documentary series following the case of Steven Avery’s murder conviction. Now, his brother Earl, has spoken out for the first time and he says he drove through the salvage yard where Theresa Halbach’s car was found and it was not there prior to the search party finding it. He also raised questions about the prosecution and investigators’ claims about Avery cleaning up the garage, asking how the floor was still covered in dust if it had been cleaned……the mystery grows!
