Adam Levine really knows how to put a shy kid at ease

A 10-year-old boy named Christopher Warner lives in Maryland, and happens to be a mega-fan of Adam Levine and Maroon 5. He also happens to have Down Syndrome. One of his special education teachers posted a video on YouTube showing Christopher singing along to Maroon 5 songs and talking about his affection for the band:

When the band got wind of all of this via D.C.’s The Kane Show, they invited Christopher, his mother, and a couple of his teachers to get the VIP treatment backstage at their concert at Washington’s Verizon Center. When he actually met the band, Christopher understandably got a little panicky, hiding behind his mother’s legs and crouching on the floor. That didn’t faze Adam and the band, though — they encouraged everybody in the room to get down on the floor, and they did the same thing.

If it’s possible for Christopher to be an even bigger fan, he sure is now.
