Meet our 2010 Warm Wedding of a Lifetime Winners...
The Warm 106.9 Wedding of a Lifetime winners were chosen from hundreds of entries during the month of February. Jason & Meghan were engaged this past Christmas while overlooking the lights of the Emerald City. Here is Jason -- in his own words:
So there we were on the peak of Queen Anne Hill at Kerry Park on Christmas eve. I could feel the heat from the Seattle skyline lights shining directly onto my face or maybe it was the nervousness, anxiousness, and rush of blood running through my body as I was about to ask the biggest question of my life to the woman I love.
Man, this is sounding like a page out of one of those Fabio love novels.
Honestly, it was such a perfect night. We first started the night at the Cheesecake Factory in Bellevue, which is where we first laid eyes on each other. I had planned to take her here, but didn't know how to say, "hey, let's go to the Cheesecake Factory". I didn't want to give it away and give her any hints that I was about to pop the question. So instead, I asked her, "hey we're going to be around Bellevue, where should we get a bite to eat before we go look at Christmas lights?". She mentioned, the Cheesecake Factory! My plan was already working. Muahaha
Once we enjoyed the Christmas lights, I pulled over and told Meg I have one more spot to take her. She asked with a puzzled look, "Where?" I blew it off and played it cool, "Oh just another nice place with lights." I punched it into our navigation and up Queen Anne Hill we drove. I looked over at Meg in the passenger seat looking around, left and right, and not seeing any Christmas lights. I parked the car and said, "well we're here, look at those lights over there". We stepped out of the car and walked over to the ledge.
Absolutely breath taking. It literally felt like we could reach out and touch the Seattle skyline. It was so up-close and just right in our faces! I whispered sweet nothings into her ear. I Poured my heart out. I got down on one knee. I reached for a diamond ring in my pocket. I asked her to spend the rest of my life with me.
And then the final four words came out of my mouth "Will you marry me?"
